Through standardization of veterinary ophthalmology practices and research, the Korean Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology (KSVO) contributes to the advancement of veterinary ophthalmology.
-
The Korean Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology aims to establish standardized veterinary ophthalmology practices, promote research, and disseminate findings to contribute to the development of veterinary ophthalmology in Korea.
-
KSVO began with a founding meeting in 2009, and since the inaugural general assembly and seminar in 2010, it has been conducting ophthalmology education, holding annual general assemblies and seminars to lay the groundwork for the development of veterinary ophthalmology.
-
The society holds regular academic conferences and monthly seminars, fosters talent through the KSVO certification system, and promotes various projects to achieve its objectives.
-
Through annual general assemblies and seminars, the society assesses the status of ophthalmology practices and research in Korea, shares new clinical information applicable to general hospitals, and seeks to modernize domestic veterinary ophthalmology through three annual advanced ophthalmology sessions, making education more accessible across regions.
-
The KSVO also engages with the Asian College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (AiCVO) and the Japanese Society of Comparative Ophthalmology (JSCVO) annually, promoting the excellence of Korean veterinary ophthalmology and rapidly disseminating the latest international advancements domestically.
-
KSVO is committed to creating a new culture in the field of veterinary ophthalmology by fostering specialists and advancing the field to meet the demands of the 21st century.
-
We ask for the active participation and support of members who are interested in veterinary ophthalmology clinical practices and research.
